Kyocera Document Solutions clearly demonstrated its industry leadership and innovative prowess at drupa 2024, held from May 28th to June 7th at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. This year’s event was a significant milestone for Kyocera, showcasing the company’s expanding inkjet portfolio and reinforcing its commitment to cutting-edge technology and sustainability.

Unveiling the TASKalfa Pro 55000c

One of the major highlights of drupa 2024 was the European debut of the TASKalfa Pro 55000c, lauded for its robust performance and environmental considerations, setting a new standard in the industry. This revolutionary printer, which had previously impressed audiences at the PRINTING United Expo 2023 in Atlanta, continued to draw admiration from industry professionals in Düsseldorf. The TASKalfa Pro 55000c stands out with its vibrant colour output, support for a wide variety of offset coated and uncoated media, and the hallmark energy efficiency and minimal maintenance requirements that Kyocera is known for.

Heidie-Mari Middel, Production Specialist at Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa, remarked: ‘The TASKalfa Pro 55000c is a testament to Kyocera’s innovative spirit. We were thrilled to demonstrate how our inkjet technology leads the future of production print, with a smaller footprint than other products currently available, and emphasising our focus on integrating the needs of diverse sectors into our products.’

Expanding inkjet portfolio

In addition to the TASKalfa Pro 55000c, visitors to Kyocera’s booth in Hall 8a/C20 had the opportunity to witness the capabilities of the TASKalfa Pro 15000c. The synergy between these two machines highlights Kyocera’s strategy of offering versatile and powerful solutions tailored to meet the evolving demands of the printing industry.

Middel further added, ‘Kyocera’s evolving inkjet portfolio represents our firm commitment to our role as pioneers in the document solutions space. It was particularly rewarding to engage with clients and colleagues at drupa 2024, showcasing first-hand how our technology can drive businesses forward. What a win to also be able to say all our products are using water-based, pigmented inks.’

Industry impact and networking

Middel noted, ‘drupa 2024 was more than just a showcase of products; it was a pivotal networking opportunity. Kyocera’s presence facilitated numerous discussions with partners, clients and industry experts about the future of printing technology. The company’s dedication to sustainability was a recurring theme, resonating with many attendees focused on eco-friendly and energy-efficient solutions.’
